A great fun entertaining evening of Swing, Dixieland, Mainstream and Trad with a masterful mix of standards you all know and love so well.

Helen - vocals, Bob Holloway - piano, bass pedals & vocals, Bill Yeomans - saxes & flute, John Field - drums.
An enjoyable evening of well known standards including some foot tapping instrumentals by the Quartet!

 

22nd February - The Jeff Short Band & Singers
present
'The Golden Days of Hollywood'
Songs and Instrumentals featuring vocals from
Jeff & Sue Short backed by a 4/5 piece band featuring some fine jazz
musicians.The evening will include hits from the Great American Musical
Films from the1930's to Stars remembered will include Fred Astaire and
Ginger Rogers, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and the great American composers such as, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Sammy Cahn, George and Ira Gershwin.

29th February - Paul Wood, Bruce Adams, Brian Dee, Len Skeats, John Withers
Paul will perform your favourite standards accompanied by Brian Dee – piano, Bruce Adams – trumpet, Len Skeats – double bass,
John Withers – drums plus several instrumentals from the Quartet. An evening not to be missed!

7th March - Ken Turner Big Band with Paul Wood & Nikki Page

All your big band favourites from the songbooks of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Woody
Herman, Ted Heath and Buddy Rich along with vocals from Nikki & Paul

 

14th March - Dave Lewis
Dave on tenor sax, Ted Beament, - piano, Alan Morgan - double bass, Alan Clarke - drums. Dave Lewis is a much revered saxophonist
with the ability to play brilliantly in a host of jazz styles, swinging or
weaving his way around a melody, Lewis has a flawless command of his
instrument, a delectable, smooth tone and a sense of innate timing that
allows his solos to glide around and over his fellow musicians, yet still
retaining the tunes original melody.

 

21st March - Tim Huskisson & Trio
Tim - clarinet, John China - piano/vocals,
Murray Salmon - double bass, Matt Skeaping - drums. A mixture of Swing,
Mainstream and Dixieland standards including tunes associated with Benny
Goodman, Artie Shaw, Irving Fazola, Ed Hall, Peanuts Hucko.

28th March - Mark Stratford with Infusion

Mark - vocals, Chris Neill - piano,
Andy Lineham - tenor sax, Flo Moore - double bass, Tommy Claydon - drums.
